Get with Ran and find how we can make his data entry easier.  Also cemetery committee could make use of this

  • Should be easy to enter on the web
  • Various smart phone apps to allow for more users to input data.  Would filter through moderator before being accepted.
  • Display on the website with a variety of maps
  • Find out which GIS systems and public databases (of maps) that would be useful in research
  • Be able to export PDF files of the maps
  • Be able to export KML files (or others) that can be layered on top of Google Maps
  • Note: smartphone app should make use of camera and GPS and provide some pre-processing/filtering before submitting the data

Have the 'location' and 'gmap' modules loaded and doing a simple map
Need to:

  • Use custom markers.  They are defined and tied to site type taxonomy but some custom work on the 'gmap' module may be needed.
  • Add ability to filter out or select site types (taxonomy)
